Father's Day in Wimberley

We made our first trip to Wimberley this summer. Now that we live so much closer we hope to go more than once a summer like we used to. Since Jeremy grew up swimming in the Cypress Creek on his trips to Wimberley in the summer, we really want our boys to enjoy the same fun. Austin and Jackson will go off the rope swing and Austin jumped out of the tree this year. We'll see if they get more daring when we meet the rest of Jeremy's family there in August. We are so grateful to Jeremy's Granny & PawPaw for keeping the house up and letting us bring our family there. The water was cold for sure but was moving fast over the dam and Austin had fun sitting under the waterfall created by the dam. Both Austin and Jackson had fun catching things and keeping them in their zip-lock bags. We'll bring a net next time and Austin is sure he can catch a fish with it. It's great spending time with family!

Boating at the Lake

For our 9 year anniversary we had a family outing to Lake Travis. We rented a pontoon boat and spent the afternoon puttin' around the lake and swimming. The boys had a great time as we celebrated our anniversary together. Believe me though - next year we will not celebrate the 10 year mark as a family! We'll be off on our own for that one :-)

Summer Fun

Cotten Family Time

The Cotten's got together over Mother's Day weekend in Rusk for a time of playing, swimming and celebrating some birthdays - along with Mother's Day. This was the first time we got to swim in the pond since it was enlarged and the kids loved it! Even dad got in...

Ryan's Birthday

Our baby is now 2! It is so much fun watching him grow and learn new things...some of which are things I wish he would learn later, but his big brothers have fun showing him things! Ryan loves Jay Jay the Jet Plane along with tractors right now. We enjoyed watching him really open his own presents this year and devouring his cake.

Easter Celebrations

This year we spent Easter in Conroe at Jeremy's parents house with his brother and sister and their families. We enjoyed our visit, but boy, winter wasn't quite ready to give way to spring...it was in the 30's and 40's that weekend. So much for "Easter" attire for church!

Family Visitors

At the end of March we had Deborah's brother's and their families come for visits on different weekends. This was their first visit to our new home in the Austin area. The boys were so excited to have their cousins coming to stay at their house. When Dean's family was here, all of the older kids ended up sleeping on the floor in the playroom and had a blast. We sure enjoyed Dean and Shelley coming with their girls and David & Jen coming with Brady. We always look forward to visitors!
