Mother's Day - part 2

What fun it is to go to your child's school for Mother's Day celebrations! Teachers do a great job getting the kiddos to make something special. This morning I went to Muffins with Mom at Austin's school, and then to the special "cookie and tea" party in his classroom. He served me my tea and cookie and then presented me with a very sweet card and plaque that he had made. This is the first year that he has been able to really write something on his own for me and I LOVE IT! I already have my special plaques that Jackson and Austin made hanging on my wall and it's not even Mother's Day yet.
This was at Jackson's party yesterday.

Jackson made me a plaque with his picture and Austin wrote a special letter for me.

The flowers you see pictured were made at the preschool program at our church. Ryan made and painted the pink one and Jackson made the colorful one (it's a corsage that I wore at his event). Those flowers are so cool! What a fun project. You take a Styrofoam cup, cup slits down the sides to make the petals, then place them in a 350* oven for 15 seconds or until they curl. The Styrofoam will curl down on its own making the petals. I would probably cover my cookie sheet with something just in case - you never know...
