Jackson turns 5!!

Well - we are definately getting old around here! Our middle child is turning 5...It really doesn't seem that long since he was born - but we are excited about each new change that comes in our house. We love the changes that have come as our kids get older and are able to do more fun things as a family (like skiing this past March). Jackson still loves monster trucks and has a perfect collection of 20 trucks that he keeps in his "special drawer" so little brother won't mess them up. He will be going to a 5 year old pre-K program at our church this next year 4 days a week. He is very excited about school and loves to be there. He loves swimming - all over the pool! He also loves riding his bike, scooter and jumping out of the swing! Bugs continue to be a fun part of his day as he and Austin hunt down bugs of all kinds and make homes for them. His favorite has been doodle bugs! We have had thousands of them this summer. We cherish every joy that he brings!

Father's Day in Wimberley

We made our first trip to Wimberley this summer. Now that we live so much closer we hope to go more than once a summer like we used to. Since Jeremy grew up swimming in the Cypress Creek on his trips to Wimberley in the summer, we really want our boys to enjoy the same fun. Austin and Jackson will go off the rope swing and Austin jumped out of the tree this year. We'll see if they get more daring when we meet the rest of Jeremy's family there in August. We are so grateful to Jeremy's Granny & PawPaw for keeping the house up and letting us bring our family there. The water was cold for sure but was moving fast over the dam and Austin had fun sitting under the waterfall created by the dam. Both Austin and Jackson had fun catching things and keeping them in their zip-lock bags. We'll bring a net next time and Austin is sure he can catch a fish with it. It's great spending time with family!

Boating at the Lake

For our 9 year anniversary we had a family outing to Lake Travis. We rented a pontoon boat and spent the afternoon puttin' around the lake and swimming. The boys had a great time as we celebrated our anniversary together. Believe me though - next year we will not celebrate the 10 year mark as a family! We'll be off on our own for that one :-)

Summer Fun
