Get it together girl!

Why is it that your house is always the biggest mess - with the most items to pick up, put away, clean, repare, etc...the week that you have family coming in from out of town? Last week, when no one was coming to see us, I had kept the house picked up and the laundry up to date all week! Here it is on Tuesday, yes it's only Tuesday but I see a busy week when I look at my day timer, and I am already feeling a little stressed about getting this house put back together before Friday night! Don't fear MiMi and Poppy, we are terribly excited about you coming and I never regret the house cleaning that goes in to having company!!! I just think it is weird how I had it all clean last week everyday - for no one but us. Hummm...I have a feeling that all other members of the family will be doing their chores for sure this week! Speaking of chores - I love that my 2 oldest boys have morning and evening chores to do - it sure helps out a lot, and I don't have to ramble off a laundry list of things for them to do. All I need to say is, "get your chore cards done". This is how they earn part of their allowance. It is very interesting to see their personalities coming out as we put this in to practice. One son will do his chores immediately and put his chore cards in the "done" box so he can get his 5 cents for each chore card completed. My other oldest son will do his chores but doesn't bother most of the time to put his chore cards in the "done" box, which means he won't get his 5 cents for doing it. (the point of the "done" box is so mommy doesn't have to double check to see if it got done). Those of you who know my boys - let's see if you can guess who does it by the books and who doesn't...
