Play for Shade

Today was "Play for Shade" at Austin's Elementary school. This is a carnival type event where we are raising money to buy and install a shade awning over the playscapes on the playground. Anyways, it was a beautiful day for the event and we had a great time. Well, I guess I had fun - I was working the event so I didn't get to enjoy seeing my kids have fun - but I knew that they were in good hands! Grandparents were in town for a visit so they joined Jeremy and the kids as they hit up the game booths and the other fun stuff to see and do. The main attraction was an Army Blackhawk helicopter that flew in from Fort Hood. We are joining our city in a book drive for the soldiers and their kids so they came to visit our Play for Shade event.
